Impressive Fruit Purees for brewing great beverages
June 6, 2025
With advances in modern processing, equipment, and aseptic packaging the quality of pure fruit products available for use in crafting great tasting adult beverages has never been better.
Fruited-up beers and related beverages are a strong draw today, especially with Gen Z customers. Everything from fruited quick sours and wheat beers to fruited hop waters and beer slushies are flying off the taps at small craft breweries.
At Brew Expo America during the Craft Brewers Conference 2025 were a bunch of firms offering beautiful types of fruit products for varying uses. Especially impressive were the products from Aseptic Fruit Purees, Pacific Fruit Peru, Vita-Pakt, Fruit Purees Miami, and Blackbird Specialty Beverage.
We tasted their products at the Expo and can attest they make some very tasty brewing ingredients.
Aseptic Fruit Purées

Aseptic Fruit Purées (APF) sells a huge array of purees made with fresh fruits, never frozen. They deliver high quality fruit purées from various international regions. All are free from added preservatives.
AFP offers competitive pricing and flexible payment options tailored to their customer’s business needs. This practice helps brewers manage costs effectively.
They feel that their customer service, sales promotions around the year, and personal attention make them stand out in the busy fruit purée supplier field.
Looking for a new flavor? AFP probably has one. AFP excels in fruit variety including berries, pome fruits, stone fruits, citrus fruits, tropical fruits, and also sells purées of root vegetables and squash.
From a 4.4 lb. bag to a 440 lb. drum, the company offers its products in sizes that meet the needs of brewers. Of special interest to West Virginia brewers is that AFP can ship many of its products out of a regional warehouse in Columbus, Ohio.

Pacific Fruit Peru

This family owned concern brings high-quality fruits purées from Peru to the U.S market.
They tell us that their crops come from seven different Andean micro-climate zones in Peru, each with the most ideal characteristics for that fruit’s cultivation.
Their processing is designed to ensure that the final product maintains its organoleptic and nutritional properties. Furthermore, their aseptic technology helps stabilize the product enzymatically and microbiologically, which makes it possible to store the product without refrigeration, thus facilitating its transport and storage.
Pacific Fruit offers in many more exotic and tropical fruits from which brewers can make unexpected and deliciously flavored products. Some of their fruit purees include golden berry, soursop, star fruit, golden pineapple, mango, pomegranate, blueberry, and ginger.

For brewers it offers a diverse list of over 30 different fruit purees, including less common varieties, such as plum, papaya, açaí, cherry, black currant, banana, and red prickly pear.
At the Expo, FPM introduced its new Watermelon and Red Dragonfruit purees. Both generated an interest from brewers eager to try something fresh and new for their seasonal lineups of beer, kombucha, and seltzer.
