Have you ever worked a volunteer shift at a beer festival? It’s really a lot of fun, and you provide a valuable service to your community. Mountaineer Brewfest is now signing up volunteers for its August 15th festival in Wheeling.

From the work of its volunteers and sponsors, Mountaineer Brewfest, hopes to make a $50,000 donation to this year’s community charity partner, which is the Wheeling YMCA.

There are so many positions to fill at a festival. Beer pourers, ticket takers, trash picker uppers, ice runners, and more.

Each volunteer shift is a minimum of 6 hours, and for those who work an 8 hour shift, extra benefits apply. All volunteers who sign up to work a shift receive free parking, festival admission, festival t-shirt, bottled water, and beer sampling opportunities.

You must be at least 21years of age join in. To see all the details for volunteering at Mountaineer Brewfest, Follow This Link. You’ll also find the volunteer sign-up form there.

Volunteers provide community service

Mountaineer Brewfest is a 501 (c)3 charitable organization, and it is the work of the volunteers and sponsors that allows the fest to provide substantial charitable donations in the community. Wheeling YMCA Senior Director of Programming and Childcare Brian Blazier said the money the YMCA will receive will be used to keep up with the growing demand for additional programming at their center, serving patrons aged three months to over 100 years old.
