New Realm Brewing Greenville

Taking the slow road to Atlanta so I could stop and check out the New Realm Brewing taproom in Greenville, South Carolina. I love it when my hotel is just a block away from a craft brewery taproom. A block away is even better when the outdoor temps are cold and the beer inside is excellent.

How about the New Realm brews

R to L are Euphonia Pilsner, Psychedelic Rabbit IPA, and Hazy Like A Fox Hazy IPA.

The Euphonia German-style Pilsner scores high on drinkability. It’s so nicely balanced. As one of the brewery’s first beers, it easy to see why it still hangs in and sells well. A great food beer,

Psychedelic Rabbit IPA, a mega juicy American IPA, shows that the New Realm’s brewers are masters at formulating a complex recipe and then turning in it into a beer. It doubles down on the fruitness impact with both a thiolized yeast and big doses of contemporary hops. The Star Party yeast produces an initial wave of passion fruit. The hopping leads with a melon-lime Cashmere backed up with a Mosaic, Citra, and Azacca fruit punch, all delivered with a smooth bitterness. Masterful.

Hazy Like a Fox Hazy IPA delivers big, big fruit flavors served with a creamy, luscious mouthfeel and pale maltiness. It’s easy to see why it is New Realm’s best selling beer. The beer’s big El Dorado hop signature puts a big, juicy wet pineapple smooch on your lips, without being over the top. Very well made. Loveable.

Good food too

I enjoyed my beer flight with a tasty Cobb Salad. I am sated.

New Realm Brewing, which is headquartered in Atlanta, says most of the beer they serve at the Greenville tapeoom is brewed at their Virginia Beach brewery. They have become one of the Southeast’s most popular and highest quality breweries.

With six taproom locations across Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama the brewery offers styles ranging from pilsners and pale ales to funky sours, heavy stouts, and hoppy IPAs.
