Köerber reports solid first year

Köerber Beer Co. is now entering its second year of brewing operations following a solid, steady parade of progress in its first year. While a lot of learning took place during year one, the brewery is clearly off to a strong second year showing very good beer quality, strong taproom sales, and growing distribution.

The brewery, located in Barboursville, WV, which is just a few miles outside Huntington, has already established an impressive track record for a start-up operation. Beginning beer sales in late March 2024, Köerber is now filling its local beer market with tasty, primarily easy-drinking styles that are experiencing strong sell-through and generating repeat business.

Köerber’s owner/GM, Jason Beter, says their first year moved fast, but business was much stronger than he originally anticipated. Rapid growth can be problematic for any business, but it’s the kind of problem most breweries today would welcome.
