Austin Weser talks West Virginia beer
January 16, 2025
Probably no other person has brewed at more West Virginia breweries as has Austin Weser. He’s a Morgantown resident who got his original interest in better beer while deployed in Germany with the United States Army. In more recent years, he’s taken that interest much farther as a civilian.
His brewing tours include working at several of West Virginia’s best breweries. Immersed in brewhouses, he embraced his beer passion, nurturing it at High Ground Brewing, Stumptown Ales, and Chestnut Brew Works.
Along the way, Austin demonstrated his talent by brewing many beautiful beers — beers that form a nice chunk of the bedrock and lore of West Virginia’s craft brewing industry. Through the year as he’s grown in beer knowledge and nuance, he’s also gained a statesman-level status among our West Virginia beer advocates.
Join in with Erin and Charles on Episode 95 of West Virginia Beer Roads as we talk with Austin Weser and learn more of his back story, his opinions, and his beer knowledge.
