FUNKFEST is Saturday in Morgantown

This Saturday, the state’s zaniest and sourest beer fest of the year takes place at Morgantown Brewing Company (MBC). No ticket needed. Just show up for the fun at Funkfest 2023.

MBC proprietors Chris and Cody have truly outdone themselves this year. They’ve pulled out 15 their irresistible fruited and flavored-up tart/sour beer recipes from the past. Rebrewed for your drinking pleasure. The July 22 event kicks off at noon and runs until 10:00 P.M.

For beer fans not into flavored sour beers, MBC will also have their full lineup of standard beers on tap. And their downstairs Speakeasy bar will be open all day for craft cocktails.

Special Funkfest glass

They’ve got a wicked piece of glassware for the event this Saturday. It features Morgantown artist Liz Pavlovic’s (@keepon_creepinon) zany strawberry design. Goodness gracious that’s a cool looking glass. Bring cash or credit card. Get these early before they run out.

Food too

For eating treats, some special Korean food features will be offered in addition to MBC’s regular food menu.

MBC’s parking lot will be closed, so park in one of the paid lots downtown. The closest parking garage is right across the street from the brewpub.
