Get ready for Wheelwash

Charleston, WV, gets its first beer festival of the season Friday evening, June 30, downtown on Capitol Street near the Levee. Wheelwash Craft Beer Festival will be a perfect time to sample beers from small breweries across West Virginia, as well as from a number of national brands.  

You can expect beers from the following WV craft brewers:

  • Bad Shepherd Beer Company, Charleston
  • Bridge Brew Works, Fayetteville
  • Clendenin Brewing
  • High Ground Brewing, Terra Alta 
  • Parkersburg Brewing
  • The Peddler, Huntington

From 5:30 to 9:30, taps will be open and pouring beautiful brews.

Three different session tickets are available:  

  • Session 1 — 5:30 – 7:30 pm … $35 – includes 12 beer sample tickets
  • Session 2 — 7:30 – 9:30 pm … $45 – inc. 12 beer sample tickets
  • VIP Session — 5:30 – 9:30 pm … $55 – inc. 20 beer sample tickets

All tickets include a collectible 5-oz. Charleston Sternwheel Regatta mug to drink the beer in.

Distributors bring national/regional craft

Beyond the WV brewers listed above, other popular craft beers will be provided by local distributors Spriggs Distributing, The Beverage Market, North Central Distributing, and Mountain State Beverage.

Music too: on the Main Stage that evening will be the band Better Than Ezra. A large Jumbotron video screen will be placed on Capitol Street so beer fest goes can see and hear the concert.

Wheelwash Craft Beer Festival is an event of the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta.
