Johnson provides legislation update

While this year’s legislative session was not a major one for beverage alcohol legislation, still several significant measures were adopted and are becoming law. A little bit of progress, with no real harm done.

On this episode of the West Virginia Beer Roads podcast, we interview Charleston attorney Chuck Johnson, who regularly follows beverage alcohol legislation at the State Capitol. Chuck explains what passed this session and then discusses a number of things that still need to be addressed so West Virginia can have a modern legal base from which to grow our craft beverage industry.

Measures adopted this year affect new categories of private clubs, liquor sales at retailers, mark-up for private clubs’ liquor purchases, alcohol delivery for third party delivery services, and more.
