WV alcohol policy issues addressed

West Virginia Beer Roads Roundtable looks at deficiencies in the state’s beverage alcohol policy structure and how they are harming bars, restaurants, brewers and other alcohol producers. Jeff McKay, proprietor of Huntington’s Summit Beer Station, leads the panel of experts and details his current effort to make substantial reforms to West Virginia’s alcohol regulatory system.

McKay is joined by Big Timber Brewing’s Matt Kwasniewski and Charleston attorney Chuck Johnson, who both bring plenty of ideas and proposals for sane changes in policy that would benefit the business climate for small alcohol producers, bars, restaurants, and retailers, while still providing a structure of appropriate regulation that protects revenue and public health and safety.

Also adding to the discussion is program co-host Rob Absten, an attorney experienced in alcohol legislative activity. The program is hosted by Brilliant Stream’s Charles Bockway.
