015 – WV joins Black is Beautiful collaboration

On Episode 15 of West Virginia Beer Roads, two West Virginia breweries tell us why they are participating in the national Black is Beautiful collaboration beer project. Aryn and Sam Fonda of Weathered Ground Brewery and Drew Hetzer and Jay Fox of The Peddler discuss the importance of brewing this beer and what it symbolizes.

The collaboration project, initiated by the black-owned Weathered Souls Brewing in San Antonio, Texas, is designed to show support for justice and equality for people of color. As of late July, over 1,060 breweries in 50 states and 20 countries have signed on to brew the beer.
