The technology behind the beer can

With quite a few West Virginia brewers now canning their beer, I thought it time for a refresher on the pretty amazing technology involved with the modern aluminum beer can.

Brewery canning in action

Since some of the WV breweries that use automated canning lines use machinery made by Cask Brewing Systems, I thought it appropriate to offer a video of Cask equipment in action. In this video, you’ll see a microbrewery canning set-up pretty similar to what you’d find at Mountain State Brewing, Greenbrier Valley Brewing, Big Timber Brewing, Parkersburg Brewing, and Berkeley Springs Brewing, even though some of those use other brands of equipment.
