Big Brew 2019

This Saturday, May 4, homebrewers around West Virginia will celebrate Big Brew 2019 by meeting up and sharing beer, food, and fun. If you have an interest in learning more about brewing, these homebrewers welcome you to come to their events and observe or participate. Big Brew is an annual event to celebrate National Homebrew Day.

Here is a quick rundown of some Big Brew 2019 activities in West Virginia.

Wheeling

The Wheeling Alers homebrew club will meet at a member’s house for a celebration of brewing. They will be brewing up the Blonde Ale recipe provided by the American Homebrewers Association. Activities will begin at 11:00 AM and wrap up at about 4:00 PM. Anyone who interested in attending can reach out (message) to them through their Facebook page for more details.

Teays Valley

The Greater Huntington Homebrewers Association host an open brew day and cookout in Teays Valley. Everyone is welcome no matter if you’re brewing or not. Brewing activity kicks off at 10:00 AM and will end by 6:00PM. They invite folks to stop by and say hello anytime during the day and enjoy some food and beer.
Location is 1040 Marina Drive.

Clarksburg

The Harrison County Homebrewers Club is hosting Big Blur 2019 at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Clarksburg. Activities begin Saturday at 10:00 AM and will continue all day. Snacks, grilling, covered dishes, and brewing. Bring something to share and enjoy the camaraderie.

Berkeley Springs

The Berkeley Springs Brewing Company will host a brewing demonstration at the brewery.
Location: 110 Michigan Lane, Berkeley Springs, WV.

Morgantown

Morgantown’s Big Brew will be held on Saturday. For more information and location, contact the Morgantown Area Society of Homebrewers through contact the club or host Andrew Weser through the MASH Facebook page.
Location: 360 Frontier Av., Star City, WV
