Are you ready for some spring beer festivals? Think past the snow and on to beer. Here are the highlights and ticket links for some upcoming spring beer festivals in our region.

BrewFest CharlieWest, presented by Rock 105, will give the first 1,000 fans in the gate a West Virginia Power pint glass. For the $30 festival ticket package, fans get game admission and  vouchers for 5 pints of beer. Alternatively, you can just buy a regular game ticket and purchase your beers individually. A group of West Virginia breweries will attend and other craft beers from around the region will be served during and after the game. After the game ends, the live music show begins.

The State Fair of West Virginia and Lewisburg Rotary are conducting their second annual beer festival on the WV State Fairgrounds. Featuring 13 or more West Virginia and Virginia breweries, food trucks, and all-day music, this event will also have a beer competition for participating breweries.

General admission gets you eight beer sample tickets and a commemorative mug. VIP admission includes special tastings, two extra beer tickets, and early admission.

Funds raised will be split between the State Fair of WV Endowment Fund and the Lewisburg Rotary Endowment Fund to support scholarships in the Greenbrier Valley area and across the state.

Foam at the Dome

The third year of Charleston’s premier craft beer festival sees a venue change from Laidley Field to the State Capitol grounds along the Kanawha River. Expect around 150 beers from 60+ breweries.  Plenty of restaurant vendors, artists/crafts people, and local bands round out the offerings. Foam at the Dome will likely have over a dozen of the West Virginia’s licensed breweries, plus a selection of the very best beers available in WV from regional, national, and foreign craft brewers. Expect another nice group of Belgians to be offered. Sponsored by and profits support Charleston Main Streets and its downtown development program.

Firkin Fest Ashland

Now in its fourth year, Firkin Fest brings beer life to downtown Ashland. Lots of beer served at this fest that is not available in West Virginia. General admission includes ten 3-oz-beer tasting tickets. VIP admission package includes 1:00 PM early admission, 10 tasting tickets, Firkin Fest t-shirt, special reserved parking, and special VIP beers. Four live bands play throughout the afternoon. Food trucks and food tents. Additional tasting tickets are 3 for $10. Profits go to support Ashland In Motion’s downtown development program.
