MASH Brewing Company opens in Charles Town
March 4, 2017
Mash Brewing Company, which received its state brewery license in late 2016, has now opened its tasting room in Charles Town, WV.
Initially, Mash will be offering free samples and filling growlers to-go, but will not be selling pints in the tasting room. Growlers of 32 oz. and 64 oz. sizes will be available. You can also bring in your own growler if you’d like.
The opening beer line-up includes a Blond Ale, Pale Ale, English IPA, Amber Ale, and Stout.
Mash Brewing is open Fridays and Saturdays during the start-up period. Located in the historic downtown district of Charles Town, Mash Brewing Company is operated by owner/brewer George Shaw.
Mash Brewing uses a 1-barrel brewhouse. In the coming weeks, look for a variety of popular American craft beer styles, IPAs, etc., but also Belgian-inspired brews. As things progress, Shaw reports he plans to have beers infused with the “flavors of locally grown produce.” That should be real interesting.
Initially, their food service will be limited, with mostly ready-made snacks (popcorn, local pretzels).
