Chestnut Brew Works receives news coverage

A favorite West Virginia brewery was the recipient of some first-rate news coverage yesterday. WBOY-TV in Clarksburg produced a really nice feature on Chestnut Brew Works of Morgantown.

The video feature shows the outcome of the brewery’s big investment in its new facility, which opened last year. It definitely makes you want to go there and sip on a pint or two. Lookin’ good Bill Rittenour. Could your next stop be Hollywood?

Over the past year and a half, the number of major WV media outlets (newspapers, radio and television stations) running regular features on craft beer breweries has grown tremendously. A few years ago, you almost never saw features on local breweries. Kudos to the state’s media outlets for finally getting into craft beer.

Chestnut Brew Works brings it

Chestnut Brew Works is best known for its Halleck Pale Ale, which has gained quite a following with craft beer fans across the state. Other popular products include South Park Porter, Class II Wheatwater, and the luscious Your Best Option Imperial IPA. Brewer/owner Bill Rittenour has done an excellent job taking this brewery from a start-up in his garage to the nice taproom in Morgantown. We’d just love to get more of his brews in southern West Virginia.
