Every autumn we craft beer lovers get a hankering for pumpkin beer. Whether all of them have actual pumpkin in them or not is debatable. However, these pumpkin pie spiced brews definitely have a place at your fall-foods dinner table — or at your autumn barstool.
From October through November, these pumpkin-spice ales reign supreme. It all began back in Colonial America days when Native Americans introduced English colonists to the pumpkin (and its squash kin). And the colonists began making beer with it. Then in modern times, the desire for a liquid pumpkin pie-clone beverage drove small breweries to make these fall-favorite pumpkin spiced ales.
