American Craft Beer Week 2016

American Craft Beer Week

This spring, for the 11th year in a row, craft brewers will celebrate American Craft Beer Week (ACBW). The nationwide celebration of U.S. small and independent craft brewers takes place May 16–May 22. You help is needed to make it visible in West Virginia.

All 50 states will be holding events including exclusive brewery tours, special craft beer releases, food and beer pairings, festivals, tap takeovers and more to celebrate the ever-advancing beer culture in the United States.

The weeklong tribute provides an opportunity for craft brewers to share their diversity, creativity and passion for the beverage they love with the greater craft beer community.

West Virginia ACBW events

ACBW-16

Last year, West Virginia had only a small handful of ACBW events. Let’s see if we can’t change that in 2016.

To help our industry grow, it would help if more West Virginia craft-beer-centric licensees (both on-and off-sale) developed special features and activities, and then listed them on the official ACBW site. Visit the official American Craft Beer Week event calendar on CraftBeer.com for a full—and growing—list of local celebrations.

Craft beer fans can help their favorite bars and retailers organize activities and events. Licensees can use the free resources in CraftBeer.com. Items include art/ layouts for banners, poster, table tents, and cooler tags.

Now with 15 breweries and several more possibly licensed by May 16, West Virginia could surely make this its biggest ACBW yet. It will be a great prelude to West Virginia Craft Beer Week in August.

  • ‘Like’ the ACBW Facebook fan page to join more than 60,000+ in support of ACBW.
  • Celebrate at an ACBW event in your area. New events are being added all the time. If your local brewery is not listed, prompt them to do so!
